Arborist services in Melbourne, from site acquisition to sign-off
This is a consulting practice only. I do not prune, remove or climb, so nothing I recommend earns me any work on the other side of it. Every service is quoted as a fixed fee, agreed in writing before work begins.

Tree Removal Report
Council has asked for an arborist report before it will consider removing your tree. This is that report, and it is usually the whole job.

Booked attendance across the build, with the stage records council needs to close out the tree conditions on your permit.

Which one do you need, and when
Under AS 4970:2025 the reporting is staged. Most projects need two or three of these, in this order.
Before design: preliminary tree assessment
Which trees are on the site, which are protected, and where the root zones will sit against your footprint. Of everything here this is the one that saves people the most money.
With the application: impact assessment, plus Clause 52.37 if triggered
The permit documents. What the works do to each tree, and whether canopy trees are caught.
At endorsement, when council signs off the permit drawings: tree protection plan and specifications
How the retained trees are protected. Usually a condition of the permit.
During construction: project arborist attendance
Hold points, supervised excavation, stage sign-offs, and the documentation that closes the conditions out.
